Verizon has officially launched their NFL App today for all you football fanatics.
Features Include:
- Live Streaming Video of Draft Coverage, Thursday night games, NBC Sunday night games
- Live audio of every NFL game
- Player Stats
- Red Zone Videos
- Fantasy Football Integration
The app is free for the 2010 season but will become a paid app starting Jan. 11, 2011. For the time being there are no additional fees to use the service, but note that it does count against your data usage.
To get the app on your compatible Verizon device just text NFL to 8915 or go to VerizonWireless.com/nfl
In case you are a Verizon customer and you may have forgotten, this is a reminder that you can finally use Skype on your Blackberry starting today. If you have the Blackberry Storm 9530 or Storm2 9550, or other select Blackberry smartphones, head on over to Skype Mobile to get the app on your device.

Beginning Thursday, March 25, if you’re a Verizon customer with a smartphone and a data plan, you’ll be able to download Skype mobile.
Features Include:
- make and receive unlimited Skype-to-Skype voice calls to anyone else on Skype around the globe
- send and receive unlimited instant messages with other people on Skype
- call international phone numbers at our low rates
The application will work on the Blackberry Storm 9530, Blackberry Storm2 9550 as well as other Blackberry & Android smartphones.

We mentioned a few weeks ago how that Verizon and Skype would be partnering to bring Skype’s VOIP application to Blackberry. It’s an exclusive deal between the two and now Verizon has a video on their YouTube giving us a peak on how they will be working together.
Could this be the first images caught of the Blackberry Storm3? We cannot confirm the authenticity but this blurry image may fit the bill. The photo is slightly blurry but looks like the rumored body style of the BlackBerry Slider or otherwise known as the possible Blackberry Storm3.
